Today we celebrate Labor Day by giving a shout out to our incredible (and growing) team of volunteers. Words cannot describe the gratitude that we have for the caring and selfless folks that continue to donate their valuable skills and free time to help the construction projects and upkeep of our Wildlife Center, scientific research, wildlife rescues, educational programs, events and helping us with fundraising. You display an amazing level of care and ownership when it comes to supporting the organization and building a home for us and our local wildlife at the Center. You all have made it possible and will be the reason that we are able to accomplish the difficult task of growing a small non-profit and creating a place as special as the Center is and will become. The recent flooding may be a setback but we have no doubt that with your help we will emerge stronger than before. The power of the community and the giving spirit is still alive and well. Enjoy the day off team, you’ve earned it! As for tomorrow, we have a lot of work to do!
