Join us for this exciting spring nighttime event hiking along our wetlands, forest, meadow and up to our hilltop Stargazing & Wildlife Viewing platform! Escape the light pollution of town to enjoy the darker skies over Darlington at a great vantage point with a 180 degree view of the horizon. Weather permitting, our friends with the Harford Astronomical Society will have a telescope and expert astronomers to guide you through a tour of the visible night sky while we discuss and hopefully discover some nocturnal wildlife.

After the stargazing portion we will walk along the creek and enjoy a campfire with some special treats.

Since it is also May the 4th (Star Wars Day) and we will be looking towards galaxies far, far away, feel free to dress as your Star Wars favorite character, show off your favorite Star Wars gear, and look out for a few Star Wars themed surprises.

** The stargazing portion of the event is weather dependent since we need clear skies. The rest of the event will proceed as long as it is not raining.
** Event is limited due to size of platform and availability of telescopes.
** Tickets prices are $5 for each adult and free for children 12 and under, first come first served (please use link to purchase online).
** We will meet at our the parking area in front of our barn classroom at 8:30pm and hike up to the hillside platform together. Our campfire will take place afterwards.
** Parking is limited so please carpool if possible.
** The Susquehannock Wildlife Center property is not yet open to the public and is only open for special events such as this one at this time.

* Event made possible by a Tourism Grant from the Harford County Office of Community & Economic Development.
