While we hoped to announce a hike around this time for you all to join us to see the spectacular annual spring bloom along the Susquehanna with us, we figured a digital tour was a safer way to do it so you could stay home and still enjoy them. We chose a cool, rainy day so we could venture into the park without any of the crowds and the really enjoyed the peace we found in the forest during a spring rain. We are always amazed by the delicate beauty of these native wildflowers and how much diversity exists in the floodplain and ridgelines of the Lower Susquehanna watershed.

We are happy to see many folks choosing to get outdoors and appreciate nature right now but crowded trails are concerning since it is tough to maintain proper social distancing. We do not want to encourage lots of people to visit narrow trails and concentrated parking areas right now so we hope the sights and sounds of this mini video tour will be sufficient until we are all safe to go explore as normal. Please consider less crowded neighborhood greenspaces you can walk to or backyard activities if you are fortunate enough to have them available.
