Join us on a walk through our forest and meadow to witness one of nature’s greatest wonders, the bioluminescent symphony of light put on by the firefly, a tiny native beetle that is known for its ability to communicate through its built in illumination. We will discuss ways you can encourage fireflies to live in your backyards as well as talk about and hopefully discover some other nocturnal wildlife. Our night hike will include a stop by our stargazing and wildlife viewing platform as we listen for species such as gray treefrogs, owls and coyotes. After our hike we will gather around our campfire ring to enjoy some s’mores and talk about our work with local wildlife. For more information and a ticket link please visit our event page!
