With the incredible success of this event last year, we have decided to do this again and expand it to help ensure more of our guests get the opportunity to enjoy some PawPaw items! Many of you either look forward to or have longed to taste the delicious native PawPaw fruit that grows right here in Harford County, Maryland! This the perfect opportunity to enjoy them in the best way possible, a limited, special batch of Broom’s Bloom ICE CREAM! This unique Broom’s Bloom flavor is only be available while supplies last. It is being made from real PawPaw fruit grown and just picked by Deep Run PawPaw Orchard. You won’t want to miss this opportunity because the fruit is only ripe for a few weeks each year!

To make the day even more special, from 12pm-3pm, or while supplies last, we will have lots of PawPaw related items available such as a limited selection of whole fruit for purchase to take home and try / plant seeds, stickers featuring the local butterfly that uses the PawPaw tree as its host- the Zebra Swallowtail, free coloring book pages for kids, and young PawPaw trees you can buy and plant in your own backyard from Kollar Nursery.

For the first time we will also offer a limited supply of PawPaw Lemonade bottles made by Western Maryland Lemonade and PawPaw baked goods by Coffee Coffee!Of course there is also a great selection of tasty food items with many local ingredients and all of Broom’s Bloom’s other famous ice cream flavors.

*Proceeds from PawPaw related sales will support the work of Susquehannock Wildlife Society and your local wildlife!

*PawPaw and many other wild foods should only be consumed in limited quantities. Each person’s body may react differently to trying a new food.

* Event made possible by a Tourism Grant from the Harford County Office of Community & Economic Development
