We are proud to announce some exciting growth in our organization! Our long time volunteer and board research coordinator has accepted a new position as our first Conservation Director. Using his years of experience researching imperiled turtle species, including multiple state agencies and conservation organizations as well as his Master’s thesis work on Spotted Turtles, John will be leading our federally funded Wood Turtle research for the next two years so that we can advise appropriate habitat management. While John is certainly a turtle expert, he is also a well rounded naturalist who will be managing our other scientific research projects, assisting with educational outreach and helping with day to day operations at the Wildlife Center as we work hard towards completing our exhibit building. Our success and continued progress is thanks to all of you, we are so grateful for your support!
