Join naturalists from Susquehannock Wildlife Society to enjoy one of our most wonderful local events in nature, the blooming of the Virginia Bluebells and other spring wildflowers that carpet the Susquehanna floodplain forests as migratory warblers and other birds fill the air with their songs. On this family-friendly and easy walk along the Lower Susquehanna Greenway Trail starting at the parking lot of the Deer Creek Trestle Bridge, you will learn about the local wildlife, landscape, history, and ecosystem of the river and surrounding areas.

Due to the popularity of this event each year, sensitive habitat and limited parking, tickets are required and carpooling is encouraged! We will ask all guests to stay on the trail and note that it is illegal to take any of the plants from the state park property.

* Bring boots or sturdy shoes, a water bottle and snack if wanted, and of course a camera for taking lots of photos!

LOCATION: We will meet at the parking area on Stafford Road at the confluence of Deer Creek and the Susquehanna. This is about 1/2 mile northwest of the intersection of Rock Run Road & Stafford Road at the Rock Run Mill area.

The address that will get you closest is this 801 Stafford Rd, Havre de Grace, MD 21078 but you will need to go up a little further on Stafford Road.
