We want to thank everyone who came out to support us on Saturday and helped make our 5th Annual Harford County PawPaw Celebration a huge success! After days of an uncertain weather forecast, it ended up being a perfect autumn day. We especially want express our gratitude for our awesome volunteers and staff who put in a lot of hard work before, during and after the event to ensure this important fundraiser continues to raise money to help our work for local wildlife and the opening of the Wildlife Center. We appreciate all of the amazing local businesses such as Coffee Coffee, Kollar Nursery, Atwater’s and Western Maryland Lemonade for providing great PawPaw items and of course our incredible host, Brooms Bloom Dairy who gives a place to celebrate , eat delicious food and perhaps best of all, makes the delicious PawPaw ice cream! We were also happy to again have the beautiful bluegrass sounds of the Carroll County Ramblers.
THE RETURN OF THE DARLINGTON APPLE FESTIVAL – THIS TIME WITH OUR PAWPAW TABLE!
It’s officially the end of the PawPaw season for us now so you won’t have to hear about this amazing native fruit again from us until next year (no promises though ). We want to thank everyone who came out to our annual celebration at Broom’s Bloom Dairy last week and this past Saturday at the Darlington Apple Festival to purchase PawPaw treats and products to support our work for local wildlife. The organizers of the Apple Festival did an amazing job bringing a huge number of visitors and wonderful vendors to our small village of Darlington, which is also home to the Wildlife Center and will be opening soon with your help. Stay tuned for more updates and events soon!
