Since January 2014 we have been placing four motion-activated trail camera in a variety locations in Harford County, Maryland that we identify as having potential for a high diversity of wildlife. By analyzing the photos and video captured on these cameras without the presence of humans we have been able to learn what species are present in an area, what times of the day or night they are active, how they react to weather conditions, if they notice the trail cameras or not, and some of their unique habitats rarely seen once alerted to humans being in the area.
